Today, a Delaware court ruled in favor of Facebook shareholders, allowing them to proceed with a derivative case against the platform. Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster said the plaintiffs' claims were more than enough to move past the motion to dismiss stage. The lawsuit is related to the platform's security policies and the Cambridge Analytica data breach.

Today's paper of the day is Infrastructuring the Digital Public Sphere by Julie E. Cohen. This paper examines the role of digital tracking and advertising infrastructures in content governance on digital platforms. It interrogates assumptions about public communication and questions the focus on ownership and control over other aspects of systemic configuration. It uses the idea of a "public sphere" as an ideal for comparison of the imperfect reality.
